Salvation and Safety

by Charles H. Spurgeon

God’s people are always safe. But God’s people are only safe through the blood because He sees the blood mark on their brow. They are bought with the precious blood of Christ. Nothing can hurt them because “the blood” is upon them.

Christ Jesus, like the lamb, was not only a divinely-appointed victim, but He was spotless. Had there been one sin in Christ, He had not been capable of being our Saviour; but He was without sin. Turn, then, your eye to the cross and see Jesus bleeding and dying for you.

[The following article, written by Pastor M. H. Reynolds, Jr., discusses five areas of life in which we as Christians are "delivered" or "made free" due to the person and work of Jesus Christ. In an age in which so many people find themselves in bondage to sin, fear and uncertainty, it is a blessing to know that we are free!]

We Are Delivered from the Power of Darkness (Col. 1:9-14)

"Why Do the Heathen Rage?"

The terrorist attack against the United States on September 11, 2001, shook our nation to its very core. It was indeed a “wake-up call” for America, for we now realize that we must be strong, alert and aware of the fact that liberty requires vigilance and that enemies, who are willing to go to inexplicably terrible ends to see America destroyed, abound without and within our country. Clearly, national security and the administration of justice are required as never before.

Change—You Can Constantly Count On It!

Change has been a part of the world since the beginning of time. On day one, God created light and separated it from darkness, and by day six, the universe and all therein was indistinguishable from what existed only five days prior. Since creation, life on earth has continued to change, and it seems to many of us that change has never come at such an alarming rate as it has during the past several years. While this is certainly not the case, it is true that technology, multiculturalism and religious pluralism have altered our personal and cultural landscape like never before.

Is Date Setting Biblical?

by Manfred E. Kober, Th.D.

Harold Camping, owner of Family Radio Network, claims, “God has led us in these last days to discover Biblical evidence that judgment day for the unbelievers and the rapture of believers will occur on May 21, 2011.” (FRN Pocket Calendar for 2009).

Hundreds of previous dates set for the return of the Lord and the end of the world were erroneous predictions uttered by false prophets. Date setting is unbiblical. Below are some reasons why it is dangerous and wrong.
